Audiovisual productions in Limburg that start with the story
For me, a good video doesn’t start with the question of which camera we’re going to use.
It starts with: what do we actually want to tell?
As a programme maker, I have spent more than thirty years working on television programmes, reports, interviews, documentaries and other audiovisual productions. I can contribute from the very first idea and be involved in research, concept development, interviews, presenting, filming and editing.
Always with one goal: to create a story people want to keep watching.

A strong production starts before the camera rolls
Beautiful images matter. But without substance, that’s all they are: beautiful images.
That’s why I first want to understand what a production is really about. Who should we speak to? What question do we want to answer? Who are we making it for? And what should someone feel, understand or remember afterwards?
That’s where the format takes shape.
Sometimes that calls for a personal interview. Sometimes a report, profile or documentary approach. And sometimes the strongest story turns out to lie somewhere other than where we first expected.
That’s exactly where I believe the strength of programme-making lies.
• AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTIONS LIMBURG
From the first idea to the story that matters
Thanks to my background at Omroep Venlo and L1, among others, I know the different sides of the production process.
I’ve presented, reported, interviewed, filmed independently, directed on location and edited. That means I look not only at what happens in front of the camera, but also at everything it takes to get there.
My strength lies primarily in the editorial side.
Doing research. Finding people. Asking the right questions. Putting someone at ease. Following up when there’s more behind an answer, while keeping the final story in mind.
Technology supports the story. Not the other way around.

What kind of productions can you hire me for?
Interviews and profiles
A good interview doesn’t feel like a list of questions. I put people at ease and look for the story behind their first answers.
Features and documentaries
From research and finding key contributors to interviews and structuring the content. I help shape a subject into a story that keeps people engaged.
Media and television productions
With decades of experience in television and journalism, I can contribute as a programme maker, interviewer, presenter, researcher or creator within an existing production team.
Stories from businesses and organisations
Not a generic corporate video full of stock phrases, but real people and stories that show what an organisation stands for and why it matters.

Story before technology
The content determines which images, people and format we need. Not the other way around.
Skilled interviewer
Putting people at ease quickly and then getting to the heart of their story has been an important part of my work for many years.
Versatile
From research and concept development to interviewing, presenting, filming and editing. Depending on the production, I can combine different roles.
Independent and collaborative
I can take care of many aspects independently, but I’m just as happy to work with camera operators, editors, directors, producers and other specialists when a production calls for it.

A complete production or a specific role?
Not every project calls for the same team.
Sometimes a media company is simply looking for an experienced interviewer or programme maker. Another client has an initial idea and wants guidance from the research stage through to the final result.
That’s why I don’t decide in advance what a production should look like.
First, we look at what the story needs. Then we decide what role I’ll play and which other professionals, if any, should be involved.
Do you mainly need help developing an idea, script or story? I can also help with the concept and copy as a separate service.
Not quite sure what you need yet? We can work that out together in an initial conversation.
1. Getting to know each other
We discuss the subject, target audience, objectives and what’s already available.
2. Finding the story
I get to grips with the subject, do research where needed and work with you to decide which people, questions and perspectives are needed.
3. Production
We develop the concept and get to work on interviews, presenting, recordings and any other elements needed.
4. Bringing the story together
The material is shaped into a clear production where content, visuals and sound reinforce one another.
